Protecting our biodiversity: The transformative
role of businesses

When the vision for the Bush Boardroom came alive, we knew that conservation had to be at the centre of the concept. Not an afterthought, but a integral part of the business fabric.

By bringing your team out to one of our Bush Boardrooms, your company is tangibly helping the conservation and biodiversity efforts at our three locations.

Why is that important? New Zealand is rich in biodiversity with a large proportion of our species only found here. That's truly special and worth protecting.

Plus we know that nature significantly increases our overall wellbeing and happiness - we all have our part to play in making sure we have abundant nature spaces for generations to come.

Maungatautari

By bringing your team to the bush boardroom, you are directly contributing to this world-class conservation project. The largest mainland ecological island in the world, the team has reintroduced some of New Zealand’s most endangered species back to their natural habitat. Each booking includes a significant conservation contribution to Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari.

Waitākere

Velskov is a regenerating native forest neighbouring the Waitākere ranges. The vision is to change the relationship we have with the native plants of Aotearoa by creating a sense of place and belonging through seasonal and multi-sensorial experiences. Velskov has two goals of equal importance, cultivation, and conservation. By experiencing the Bush Boardroom at Velskov, your team will be contributing to this restoration through eco-sourcing, weed removal and pest control.

Pureora

Pureora Forest Park is one of the last remaining intact podocarp forests in the world. It was one of the last native forests to be opened up for logging and in 1978 environmental protestors took to platforms in the trees to prevent further logging of native timber, one of the most significant conservation battles in New Zealand’s history.  A conservation success story, the Timber Trail Lodge plays host to our Bush Boardroom here and your team will be contributing directly to pest-control and trapping lines on in the surrounding native bush.

We're endorsed as a sustainable business

Our parent company, Nature and Nosh Tours, is endorsed with GOLD Sustainable Tourism Award. Qualmark independently evaluates tourism operators in New Zealand annually to ensure quality across all business areas - for us this included the Bush Boardroom. A Gold Award is evidence of one of the most high quality, safe and sustainable experiences in New Zealand, with the delivery of exceptional customer experiences an integral part of everything we do.
